Tavares, FL (November 20, 2025) - On the first Saturday of every December, Downtown Tavares transforms into a festive wonderland as the sights and sounds of Christmas take over the city. This year's Christmas celebration embraces a "Winter Wonderland" theme, bringing even more magic to this annual tradition. The celebration begins on Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. with the Tavares Christmas Parade, kicking off an unforgettable night of holiday cheer for the whole family.
Following the parade, visitors can enjoy a full lineup of seasonal fun and entertainment, including live performances, "ice" skating, photo opportunities, snowstorms, and a towering Christmas tree that lights up the heart of downtown. Families can also enjoy a holiday movie in the park, food vendors, and a variety of activities designed to spark Christmas joy.
And of course, no holiday celebration would be complete without the evening's most anticipated guest-Santa Claus himself, making special appearances throughout the event.
Parade Route:
The parade starts on Main Street at Sinclair Ave., travels south to Ruby Street, then turns east. It continues to St .Clair Abrams Ave., turns north back to Main Street, and then heads west to finish where it began at Sinclair Ave. The City of Tavares invites residents and visitors to join in this festive kickoff to the holiday season and experience the magic of Christmas in America's Seaplane City®.
