On the first Saturday of every December, the sights and sounds of Christmas take over Downtown Tavares. It all begins at 5:00 PM with our Christmas parade, followed by plenty of fun, activities, and holiday cheer to put you in the Christmas spirit. Enjoy live entertainment, "ice" skating, photo op spots, snowstorms, a giant Christmas tree, a movie in the park, food vendors, and much more. Don't forget the highlight of the evening: visits from Santa!
Parade Route: Starting on Main Street at Sinclair Avenue, heading south to Ruby Street, where the parade route turns eastbound on Ruby Street, continuing east to Saint Clair Abrams, turning north to Main Street, then continuing westbound on Main Street, ending at Sinclair Avenue.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: To ensure the safety, quality, and timeliness of the parade, the following changes have been made this year: The parade will be limited to the first 175 vehicles entered, so please return your application promptly.
- New start time of 5:00 pm
- All commercial entries will be limited to a max of 2 vehicles per entry.
- All non-commercial entries will be limited to a max of 10 vehicles per entry.
- Golf cart community entries will be limited to a max of 25 carts per entry.
