Tavares, FL (August 7, 2025) - The Tavares Splash Park will be temporarily closed on August 13 and 14 as crews install two exciting new water features: the Water Pipe Falls and the Tornado Twister. These enhancements are part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve recreational amenities for families and residents.
The timing was selected to minimize disruption, following the return to school and during the middle of the week. Once reopened, the splash park will continue to be open year-round and free of charge for everyone to enjoy. "We're excited to bring even more fun to our splash park," said Bob Tweedie, Director of Economic Development. "These upgrades ensure that families have a safe, free, and exciting place to cool off in the heart of Tavares."
Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly for the brief closure and enjoy the enhanced splash pad experience once the new features are in place.
