3/6/24 PRE-PLANNED INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE NOTICE

TO: Residents of 209 to 320 N. Lake Ave., 908 W. Maud St., and 851 W. Alfred St.

Water service will be interrupted to replace a fire hydrant at the corner of N. Lake Ave. and W. Alfred St. on Saturday, March 9th, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Unless unforeseen circumstances occur, the work should be completed by approximately 12:00 p.m.

Once service is restored, a Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink. We advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative, bottled water may be used. When the precautionary boil water notice is lifted, affected residents will be notified in the same manner as they received the original notice.

If you have any questions, contact the City of Tavares Water Department at (352) 742-6222.
