CITY OF TAVARES CITIZEN BOARDS/COMMITTEES

The City of Tavares is presently accepting applications for the following Board(s):

• Tavares Police Pension Board
• Tavares Fire Pension Board

The Mayor of the City of Tavares makes board appointments. One Police Pension Board seat is for a two-year term expiring November 2026. One Police Penson Board is for the remainder of a term expiring November 2025. The Fire Pension Board seat is for a four-year term expiring November 2028. Residency requirements may be applicable.  

Applications may be obtained by calling 352.742.6209, Option 9, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, by emailing the City Clerk at susie.novack@tavaresfl.gov,  or by downloading the application from the city’s website at www.tavaresfl.gov.
