Bulk Pick up Suspended (until further notice) to pick up Post-Storm Debris (sofas, refrigerator, chairs, wood fences, household junk, etc.)
Guidelines for post-storm debris differ from regular yard debris.
You can make our job easier by combining piles with your neighbors. Fewer piles = faster pick up. To help ensure a quicker collection. Large amounts of debris do not need to be binned, bagged, or bundled like regular yard waste.
CURBSIDE GUIDELINES:
Gather debris (branches, tree trunks, limbs, etc.) Keep storm debris separate from your regular household garbage and recycling. NO PLASTIC BAGS
Ensure that the piles are kept off streets, sidewalks, and storm drains and are positioned away from parked cars, fire hydrants, mailboxes, power lines, storm drains, or other structures.
If possible, cut branches and logs into 4-foot sections.
Try to combine your pile with your neighbor’s to create larger piles and expedite collection.
Avoid using plastic bags for vegetative debris. Instead, use bins, paper bags, bundles, or nothing at all. Pile your debris at the curbside.
SCHEDULE:
Please be patient—a schedule is not available for debris trucks with grapples/claws to pick up piles. Once they begin, we will collect as much as possible during working hours. Please keep in mind that it may take several weeks for your pile to be collected. We appreciate your patience!
